My computer works great after I do a security scan and defrag it but after that it goes slow again right away.?
I have Dsl and it gets slower all the time. Even start up and shut down are at a snails pace. It works great the first session after I Fragmentthe files and do a security scan, then its right back to the same old slow.What am I doing wrong?
for start up lags, what usually happens is the more programs you add, the more programs start running when you start computer. here are some steps that MIGHT help. Remember I'm just guessing!!!
1. download ccleaner-ccleaner(IT'S FREE) cleans temporary internet files freeing up memory. Also it can clean junk files from registry.
Also most importantly to your start-up problem it can disable programs from starting up when you start your computer. after you install and clean temp files go to tools>start-up>and disable the things you don't need
ie google toolbar, photo shop, cyberlink
on my computer i have everything disabled except 4 items. you can still open these items when you need them.
also download malwarebytes free edition and run a full scan after updating to see if your security software missed anything.
