The Twelve Steps - Step 2
Lots of think that this step is trying to force them to believe in some "God." They get tripped up on this, but it's "the god of one's understanding" not an imposed theology. The key to Step Two of the 12 Steps is to come across something outside of yourself to support you by way of the powerlessness that you've over your addiction. If your powerless than how would you ever be able to regain control without the assist of a greater energy.
As soon as you've attended countless meetings you'll begin to hear of individuals who had been also skeptical about this "higher power" factor. Once you'll be able to identify that these people today were also powerless over their addiction but have now accumulated superb amounts of time sober, you will start to determine how Step Two of the Twelve Steps functions. If they haven't discovered a greater power, something outside of themselves, then how is it that they've been able to remain sober?
What Are the first Signs That You may Be an Alcoholic?
Discovering these signs early will give you a far better opportunity of treating your complications with alcohol prior to they get worse. Alcoholism is a learned pattern that occurs over a long time period. The twelve Actions of AA defines an Over Drinker as, "Someone who has lost the capability to control their drinking." This is not something that occurs overnight, but some thing that occurs right after repeating the same behaviors for some time period.
The very first initial symptom of alcoholism is once you commence experiencing bipolar moods. You may be on leading of the world one minute and then be depressed or violently angry the next. Your capacity to drink an increasing number of alcohol just before feeling the effects will also increase. Drinking to cover the varying emotions that you can't deal with will begin to happen.
If you begin to notice mood swings whilst drinking in yourself or in a friend, you've got seen what might be the very first sign of a dilemma drinker. You will go from feeling humorous and happy about everything to having strong feelings of depression or even the desire to fight others. Should you've been around persons who drink regularly, then there is no doubt that you have seen this type of behavior just before.

The Fourth Step of the Twelve Steps
Does a stepping sleeve exist enabling me to fit a 42mm thread lens to a 62mm thread camera?
I am looking for a stepping sleeve / stepping ring that will enable me to use the zoom lenses from my old Zenit 12S camera, which have a M42 (42mm x 1) thread, on my new(ish) camera, an Olympus e20p Digital SLR, which can take a 62mm thread. Can anyone help?
Your best bet would be to go to a proper photographer's shop, not one of the supermarket type shops like Dixon's or Currys. Look in your yellow pages under Photographic Goods Retailers (I assume you're in England, and that's the heading in the Yellow Pages here).
