Creating a DIY Usb charger using a 9v battery?
I'm wondering what I need to consider. So many internet guides are rather confusing. I'm quite new to electronics so any help would be useful.
I was thinking along the lines of a 9v battery snap connected to a diode, then connected to a 5v voltage regulator (7805) which is then connected to the Usb female power cables and then back to the battery.
From some guides people mention resistors and capacitors. Do I really need these and if so what ones should I use?
.
My personal opinion, don't try this on a device that you care to keep, But, if for expermental purposes, make sure the device used is not something you care to keep, or should i say revive. Wait, you Did say run Back to the battery? nevermind, diode or not, it's going to short out and explode. be very very carfull and Resistor as much as possible..
