Handheld Signal Level Analyzer from GAO

Toronto, Canada–GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) recommends its handheld signal level analyzer (GAO8385).This versatile analyzer is specially designed and manufactured to facilitate CATV field engineers and technicians in easy installation and testing of CATV systems.

GAO's portable signal level analyzer is equipped with a large LCD screen for a clear display of test results. It tests CATV signal levels in both channel (SCAN) and frequency (SPECTRUM) modes. In ‘SCAN’ mode, the analyzer scans all channels and records signal levels in internal memory for later analysis. In "SPECTRUM" mode, the analyzer displays the spectrums and tests frequency ranges. This optimized analyzer stores twenty-four groups (up to 100 channels per group) and measures CATV TILT, C/N and Trunk Cable Voltage. In addition, it features auto off time setup and channel plan select

How was my car stolen? (Help)?

Hello,

Thanks in advance for any insight or help you can provide.

My 2000 Porsche Boxster which has a factory immobilizer was stolen. My insurance company has a monopoly here in Canada and has denied my claim of theft. They say that the car cannot be stolen? However, I'm not sure that is true. Does anyone have any insight into how a car such as a porsche boxster can get stolen? I've done some research on the web and found that a "signal analyzer" can take a copy of the signal when someone turns a car alarm on or off and with that analyzer you can disarm the alarm? Also, does anyone have any insight into how a key could be copied by someone or if a duplicate can be made? I have read something about flashing the key chip on the physical key itself?

Any feedback would be appreciated as I am battling the insurance company on my own and they have left it to me to go find facts that support my arguments.

Thank you.

Regards,
Stu

A boxster key cannot be "analyzed" with any sort of device. It also cannot be reflashed. That is all hearsay voodoo.
Most already know the car won't start without the key.

The keys are coded via fiber optics in specialized equipment supplied by a company called H.u.F in Germany. The machines are built to flash that sort of key only. If there is a problem with the coding process the key is trashed and you have to start over with a new one, so nothing can be done with another boxster key (reflashing it).

Even if someone by some crazy chance had access to such a machine it does nothing without electronic key codes that come from a database at Porsche's key facility.

There are two ways to steal that car
1. tow it
2. use the key
