how do i remove a large slotted, heavily rusted, set screw?
im pretty sure the threads have rusted, freezing them up and making it impossible to remove the screw. this is for an antique emergency stop button that resembles a large bell with a large slotted screw in the center to open it up. i want to rewire it as an awesome doorbell, but i can't open it to access the wires. i have tried soaking the area in free all, and whenever i try a large slotted screwdriver, it begins to strip the slot. what can i do???
