help setting 4 channel amp with DMM.?

I have a 4 channel amp with 2 sets of controls for the gain lpf etc. one is labeled 1/2 and the other is 3/4. I plan on setting the gain with a DMM. I'm going to run 1 4 ohm speaker off each channel. The amp is rated 55 WRMS x 4 at 4 ohms giving it a total of 220 WRMS at 4 ohms. So when doing the math to figure out what the DMM should read what RMS numbers should I use? B/C I figure that the controls for channels 1/2 control 110WRMS and 3/4 do the same. so which equation should i use?

A. Voltage =SQRT(55W*4 ohms)

B. Voltage =SQRT(110W*4 ohms)

C. Voltage =SQRT(220W*4 ohms)

I'm thinking B here is why the total RMS is 220 so each set of controls controls 110 divided out by 2 terminals giving you 55 to each terminal

Testing in bridge mode ch 1/2 then use option B if u test each channel independantly then use option A

Yes but your still gonna meter each channel idependantly so using option A because your testing the channel itself. If you get around 55 watts then the other channel should b the same cuz of them sharing the same level adjustment.Unless u measure while amp is in bridged configuration then use option B 110watts. I would test both ways. What frequency will you test it at? Im used to sub amps cuz I either test at 60hz tone or 80hz. Highpass amps I usually do it by ear(i know thats bad)
