Driving a high power RGB LED?
I want to control an RGB LED. I was thinking using a BJT switch circuit and used a tapped variable resistor to control current. Now, this idea would work with individual red, green, blue leds because i would control each individually and thus mix the three colors. However, the way the led i have is packed so that all three leds have a common anode. Here is i a link to the LED i am attempting to drive. All i want to do is make the thing change colors.

Common anode or cathode means you CAN control each individually.
You just put a variable resistor or pot and a fixed resistor in series with each LED. The fixed resistor will prevent excessive current when the pot is dialed to zero resistance, and should be set to allow the specified max current.
If you are using a 6 volt supply, I'd use a 3/0.35 = 8.6 ohms for the R LED and 2/0.35 = 5.7 ohms for the other two. (I'd use a somewhat larger resistor, such as 10 and 8 ohms) Pots should be probably 50 or 100 ohms.
