how to measure abrasion mathematically?
im doing a science project alone about the abrasion resistance of different floor tiles. my teacher did some research and found that abrasion can be found mathematically. find a formula or something. someone plz help me. i know there are abrasion testers but there too expensive and we cant buy them so we need to know how to measure abrasion mathematically.
If you think logically about it for about 1 second, you should realise that this is nonsense. Abrasion can only be determined by physical trials. Are all floor tiles made of the same materials ? Are they all finished or treated in the same way ? Are they all used in a similar environment ? Even if there were some sort of formula, it couldn't possibly cover all the different circumstances. Why don't you look at the manufacturers' web sites; they should have some data about wearability on them. Then try to find a formula which would fit the data you find there.
