Advantages Of Using A Pulse Oximeter

Back then, the only way of getting the arterial oxygen level from a patient was through drawing blood from an artery for analysis, which was time consuming and risky. However, with the advent of the device called a pulse oximeter, getting oxygen saturation has been much safer, quicker and less intrusive.

A pulse oximeter measures the arterial oxygen saturation of the patient in just mere seconds. The measurements obtained from arterial blood gases can take several minutes to be acquired and are typically gotten by a respiratory therapist, which is then transported to the laboratory, measured, and the finally reported back to the physician. The information from such analysis is very important for the patient. However, the oximeter can also do the same function, but in a much quicker and safer way, ensuring that the patient does not suffer from the unnecessary effects of hypoxia.

Even though being less precise than an arterial blood gas measurement, oximeters are accurate with most patients, most particularly in emergency situations where every second matters. Also, little or even no training at all is needed for using a pulse oximeter. Most oximeters have only one button. Also, as long as the probe is properly placed, it can be used without even referring to the manual.

Arterial blood gas measurements, although it is more exact than that of a pulse oximeter, requires blood to be drawn from the patient's artery, which can lead to complications ranging from laceration of the artery to hematoma if not done properly. Pulse oximeter, on the other hand, functions by only putting its probe on a finger or an earlobe, and read for the results on the monitor attached to the device. As long as the device is used properly, and is calibrated on a regular basis, it is very easy to use and is typically reliable. However, a good circulatory condition is required for patients who will be using oximeters, which is important to get accurate readings. Also, pulse oximeters have visual indicators, such as light emitting diodes, for determining the basic functionality of the devices like the signal of a strong pulse present in the body part.

In, final fantasy where you go to this place after gran pulse, vanille's friend the robot, where are the 5 parts to function it?

They are all in the area that you get that quest in so don't leave till you've done it, i can't really describe where they all are, one was in a trolley/ scooter thing, one was on a tree root next to a vampire, one was in a big yellow, building near where you get the quest. you need to look for red circles to interact with to find them all. Good luck.
