How to wire a 16A Rocker Switch?
Ok I have just bought 2 rocker switches from maplins and I need some help on how to wire them up.
The switch has 4 prongs. My thoughts are positive and negative in and positive and negative out

I would guess you have a DPST switch (Double-Pole Single-Throw.).
This switch simply has two on/off switches activated by the rocker switch. This allows you to control (turn on/turn off) two individual circuits at the same time.
The switch could also have pilot lights to indicate when the switches are open. The indicators will glow when the switch is open because the open circuit will have the full potential of the circuit across the contacts. When closed, there will be no readable voltage across the contact.
