please help me to recover my system.my system model is HP Compaq dc5100 Small Form Factor PC?

in my system os failed.so i install new os.as i dont have motherboard cd none of the ethernet driver matches for my system.so the programmer insert realtek fast pci ethernet adapter.after that internet doesnt working properly.now i download drivers for my system from net.now my question is how to make my system to work with my built in ethernet function by removing pci card..please tell me.do i need to change the plugin cable.or else shall i just uninstall the driver for pci card and install the built in driver that i downloaded from the net
