Digital signage should be water proof and weather proof

In the past few years the touch screen digital signage has made a significant impact in the market. Especially in the business world, the use of this technology has vital importance. The reason for this is that with touch screen signage promotion, any sort of activity can be carried out very successfully. The main concern with the outdoor signage is that they should be weather proof and water proof to withstand the harsh atmospheric conditions. The touch screen technology in the recent years is developing fast. In the early years we were generally used to see the touch screen computer screens, but today the same technology can be seen in the shopping malls and retail stores. Sometimes even in a local grocery store you can come across this technology.

The greatest advantage of this system is that the customers need not wait for the staff to make their payments; instead they can do the job at their convenience with the help of the touch screen. This way, the precious time of the customer gets saved. The outdoor digital signage technology has seen a growth in customer interaction. Moreover, with the help of this technology, companies are also able to track the category of population that uses this technology and hence market them accordingly.

The touch screen digital signage can be used in various forms. They can be used as information stand outs to big advertising posters using the LCD screen. The hardware that is used in this mode of technology should be adequately sturdy and robust. They should be able to fight the adverse weather conditions like rain, storm, excessive heat or cold. Hence the best solution is to have screens which are water proof as well as weather proof. The way by which you can make these screens tough is by using the glass touch technology. As glass is used, you can install these screens on the shop windows or door. This helps protect the screen behind the glass plate of the window. The whole process might cost a little more, but if you have a strict budget there is nothing to worry as there are adequate alternatives.

The system can be formed with the LCD enclosure that is generally fitted with 5 wire infra red touch panel as these are specially designed to be used outside. In this mode of technology, you do not need much. You have to add the LCD TV and plug in the connectors. As you switch on the TV, the ads run by themselves and the user is able to control it with touch. This technology is known by the name NEMA 4X. Irrespective of the fact whether you want an interactive touch screen signage or a standalone one, solutions are always available to protect the screens.

So it is advised that when you plan to use this technology, make sure that the provider also offers the appropriate screen guards as well. Unless the touch screens are well protected there is no point using the technology outside home.

How to wire a 4 prong plug for two electrical outlets?

I have a portable generator that has a 4 prong NEMA Twistlock 240/120 volt outlet socket. I want to make a 100' extension cord with a 4 prong NEMA Twistlock and a 10/4 wire and run it to two GFCI electrical outlets. Now assuming that I can do this, I think I just run one hot wire to one outlet and the other hot wire to the other outlet; run both neutral and ground connections to the same neutral and ground on the 10/4 wire and that would do it, I think? That is my question, is my thinking sound here or am I off base. It is a 30 amp generator.
I guess I did not mention that I want to run the 240 into two 120 volt electrical outlets! I'm assuming that since there is 120 volts coming from each phase of the 240, by running one hot wire into one outlet and the other hot wire into the other outlet that I could do this.

That will work if you are wired for the 240V output. Are you planning to draw 30A from each side? I would be a bit concerned with the 100ft run, however if you are going for 20A or less on each side and are using the proper GFCI outlet you should be fine.
