I put my new unconnected PSU near my old PC and my old PC blue screened and restarted, is my new PSU broken?

The new PSU has active PFC if that matters. The old one doesn't. New one is 650W, doubt the old is over 500W.

If you just put it near your PC, and it's not connected when the PC Blue Screened, how can you even think about it being broken? You would have to have it connected first to determine if it's defective or not.
