how do u measure voltage in a series circuit and a parallel?
how do you hook up the multimeter, volt meter or whatever to the circuit to measure voltage, current and resistance of one individual component such as a resistor and the entire circuit as a whole? also what are the settings and such?
Measure voltage by connecting parallel. Measure current by connecting the multimeter in series. Measure resistance by connecting the multimeter one lead to each end of the component you are testing.
To measure DC voltage set the multimeter to DC volts, and the range switch to a number higher than you expect to get.
To measure current you set the multimeter to amps and the range switch to the highest range first and then work down until it reads mid scale.
To measure resistance set the multimeter to ohms.
