Multimeter Backlight

How do I know what part to replace on a VIZIO 42 in hdtv Model number: VW42hdtvl?
OK i opened it up and i tested each of the circuit boards shown. All give out a current. I checked it with a multimeter. When I plug it in, the VIZIO logo lights up orange. I press the power button and it lights up white indicating its on. The issue is that there's no backlight or picture. Nor is there any sound. So, one thing i concluded is that it couldn't be the power supply if the logo still lights up.
Someone please help. Thank you. I don't want to buy the wrong part and risk my money. The power supply gives current. The two lcd inverters receive current. but i dont know if they give out any current cuz it doesnt read anything. Is it the main control board?
If the ON command comes from the main CBA then the Main would be the problem--look to see if there is a seperate cable going from the inverter to the t-con--if there is look at the labels and see if there is an "ON"" If that stuff is there then it could be either the main or the tcon. Make sure there is a seperate ribbon going to the main with the "ON" because some of the "ON" command lines go through the power supply to the inverters--"ON" command voltage is usually around 5vdc at turn on
