How can i determine the amps in battery charger?

How can i use a multimeter to test the amps in a charger? example 600mA, etc.

Set the meter switch/scale to amps (and/or use the lead connectors labled amps) and connect in series where you want to measure.

Just be sure your meter scale is set high enough.
You do not want to measure 600ma if the meter is set to measure a maximum of 10ma.
