Can any one tell me why I lose volts when I run a 24 volt bttry through a cntrl box w/ switches & how 2 fix it?
I was wondering if anyone would be able to help us, we built a track for racing the little pinewood derby cars for scouts and we are using a pull type sylenoid to fire the starting gate...the problem is this: if we connect directly to our 24 volt battery, works fine with the 64 feet of wire we need to run through and powers up the sylenoid, but when we run the wires through our control box that we made (runs in through a 1/4" pin, to a lighted toggle switch to a NO momentary switch and 1 led light to confirm power) we don't have enough "juice" left when it returns to the sylenoid to get any kind of reaction from the sylenoid. Is there any way to get that "juice" back that you loose going throught all the switches and LEDs so that we end up with pretty much what we started with which is 24 volts?
