replace or repair original holley carb with manual chokein1967 camaro?
I am having problems with a 67 camaro i recently purchased, the engine runs rough. gas leaks and a manual choke that I think is getting stuck or i am not using correctly. Should I have the original rebuilt or for reliability purposes should i install a new carborator with an electric choke
Well, I doubt that the Holley is the original carb, although there should be no reason why you couldn't have it rebuilt.. and the manual choke is also fine as long as it is used properly.. So to answer your question, I would say that it would be up to you.. the cost of a good NEW holley or Edelbrock(carter) carb may be higher than rebuilding the Holley that you have... Besides, you could always rebuild the Holley that you have and then replace the manual choke with an electric unit... May be the best of both worlds..
