Acura Integra, how do I reset the alarm?
I tried to jump start my wife's car and found my battery connector cable loose and it came off. When I put it back, it armed the security alarm and makes noise. I can't even start my car. I had to remove the battery connection to stop the alarm. Is there any way to reset the alarm? It is a third-party alarm and is 11 years back. I don;t have the remote. Also, somebody tried to break into my car just 4 days back and damaged the driver side lock. I cannot use that to reset the alarm either.
What do you suggest I do?

How much does installing a new alarm cost? Now that I can't start my car, will they come to my place and fix it? Can the same guy fix my lock as well? Do I have to change my keys?

i own a repair shop,,and you may have to completely disable this alarm system on the vehicle,,without a remote its almost impossible to re-set it,,some of the older ones you could do from the drivers side door lock on it,but yours is damaged,,so you may wind up having to get a newer updated alarm system for it,,and it sounds like you might need it, id check and see,,because the alarm systems being built now are a lot better than the older ones were,,it might be worth the investment to get a new one,,good luck i hope this help,s
