What's better, a laptop or desktop?
Recently, about a month ago, my parents gave me their old computer for my own use, the problem, it's a windows 98 and its a piece of crap. Well, this weekend/next weekend, im going computer shopping, and I'm wondering which is better. I ask because I have heard about laptop battery incidents, and it makes me unsure, but the laptop being compact can come in handy. So, what would you recommend as a better purchase? I can get a system, a keyboard, a mouse, and a LCD monitor for the same price as a laptop. What would be better to buy?
I would recommend a laptop because it is much cheaper than a a desktop computer. It has all the same things except an installed printer. Most laptops have a cable that can be plugged in for charging while using. You can always choose to set up a laptop like a computer on a desk with a printer. The best thing about a laptop is that it is portable. You can bring it to college or your job...or where ever you want! I have had my laptop for over two years and I love it. It is a Gateway Wide screen that has pretty much everything. If you don't like the touch mouse, you can always but a separate portable one for about $35. Good Luck!
