America's Presidency

One of the most highly recommended museums in Branson is America's Presidency Museum. This museum is anything but ordinary, and a visit is truly entertaining. The museum is home to several outfits originally owned and worn by several past First Ladies, and there are also several exhibits featuring some of the personal items from the estates of President Lincoln, President Roosevelt and President Kennedy.

4. Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum

This museum is one of the most popular and exciting tourist destinations in the entire city. There are several hundred items in the museum that have entertained and surprised visitors for decades. The building that houses the museum was built to look like it was a victim of the earthquake that hit Missouri in 1812.

5. Silver Dollar City

Silver Dollar City is a theme park that is a favorite among visitors of all ages. The park includes a crafter's village reminiscent of an 1880's town, amusement park rides, and a water park called, "White Water." Silver Dollar City also commonly hosts various music festivals and celebrations. The park has a nightly display of fireworks in addition to a laser show and music. There are several places to eat dinner in and around Silver Dollar City, but a trip on the Showboat Branson Belle - a cruise ship - is a truly memorable experience as it includes a meal as well as a dinner show.

2011 has brought a brand new adventure ride to Branson, Missouri. Thrill seekers can go to the very top of the beautiful Inspiration tower. You will be 230 feet above the ground overlooking Branson and the beautiful Ozark Mountains. From the enclosed observation deck you will launch on a breathtaking ride over the 160 acre homestead.

The new zipline is called the "Vigilante" and they have specially designed seats that will make reading for almost anyone very easy. Riders must weigh between 75 lbs and 275 lbs. The ride opens at 10am, and the closing times vary throughout the tourist season. I felt the 29 dollar price was fair and is comparable to the other zip line tours in the area.

How does it work?

When you get to the top of a tower a zip line operator has you sit in a harness and they will make sure that you are harnessed in properly. The ride operator then opens the gates and launches the riders out the doors with no responsibilities to control their speed or breaking. There is a patented braking system that will slow you down when you are nearing the bottom. The pamphlet says that you reach speeds of almost 50 mph and I believe that. It was a great experience and I strongly recommend others to give it a try. I'm not too fond of heights, but I felt safe and I'm glad that I gave this ride a try.

The let you know that the "Vigilante" ziprider is only the 11th ride of this kind in the world. The zipline will carry you downhill 1/2 mile across the beautiful Branson, Missouri landscape.

Why do they call the ride the Vigilante?

The name pays tribute to Branson's unique heritage. The Baldknobbers were a group of vigilantes that were infamous in the Ozark Mountains in the 1800's and their history pays a vital role in the Shepherd of the Hills Story (which is where the zipline is located).

The views are incredible from the top of the Inspiration Tower, and zip lining down to the bottom is a very surreal experience.

With Celiac Disease What is the best way to get Medications to Absorb better.?

I also have Narcolepsy and take prescribed Amphetamine to stay alert on short drives. I can tell it is not absorbing by the strength of the pills effects. Sometimes it zips me up for a couple hours, at other times same day, almost nothing! Regardless of timing to meals!

I take a One Sorce Multi-vitimin and most time part comes out undigested and recognizable.

It may not be convenient, but try dissolving the pills in juice. You can ask the doc for a pill that is not enteric coated. (enteric coated means it doesn't dissolve in the stomach)

Also for a little more money you can buy liquid vitamins at some drugstores. Not many drugstores carry liquid vitamins because kids tend to drink the whole bottle. I believe Long's Drugs still carry liquid formulas.
