For fans of monkey business, many people choose their safari holidays in Uganda based on its amazing primate population – the highest concentration in East Africa in fact. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of the last sanctuaries for over half of the world's Mountain Gorillas and the country also provides a haven for Chimpanzees. Baboons abound, as well as healthy troupes of Black & White Colobus, L'Hoest's and Red Tailed Monkeys as well as big-eyed Bush babies and the sloth'esque Pottos. For a real treat, the rare Golden Monkey can also be spotted in Mgahinga National Park in the southwest.
For a taste of history, visit the Mother Temple of Africa on the outskirts of Kampala and visit the Bahá'í Temple – one of seven such Houses of Worship in the world. Bahá'í is an inclusive faith promoting spirituality, which is gaining increasing popularity in Uganda and the temple is celebrating its golden jubilee this year.
If it's a pandemonium of parrots you're after, Uganda is also a superb destination for birding safari holidays and its rich avian life hosts one of the most sought after birds in Africa, the rare Shoebill as well as numerous endemics of the Albertine Rift Valley. The ever burgeoning bird list has over 1,000 recorded species; and there can be few destinations on earth where you can expect to find over 600 species of bird in one national park alone… From great Eagles to whistling Weavers, there is enough here to satisfy even the swiftest twitcher's eye.
Uganda's natural watery wonders are spectacular. Where else can you straddle the equator atop the snowy summits of the Rwenzori or take a dip in the second largest freshwater lake on Earth: Lake Victoria? (Well, in Kenya and Tanzania in fact, as the lake is so large – almost the size of Switzerland – it borders all three countries!). Uganda is also the source of the world's longest river, the Nile, and for adrenalin packed safari holidays, look no further and make a splash by white water rafting on explosive grade five rapids, jet boating or extreme kayaking.
Finally, did you know that in Uganda, life revolves around bananas? On any trip, your vista will take in miles of banana plantations, truckloads of bananas on their way to market and several inventive uses of the banana plant, including baskets, mats, roofs and even umbrellas. Many Ugandans grow up on ‘Matoke' – a mushy, yellow, banana mash (plantain) which is steamed over charcoal; never invite a Ugandan over for dinner unless you intend to make it..!

can a 2005 Jeep wrangler pull a Mastercraft X-Series boat?
i have a 2005 jeep Wrangler sport, the engine is a inline-6, i am looking at getting a boat soon and was wondering if it can put a mastercraft Xseries boat? please dont just write yes or no. i want to know a bit more then that. thanks
The max. towing capacity listed in the manual is 2000 lbs., a 2005 Mastercraft X2 weights in at over 3k, the trailer is an additional 850 to 1000 lbs. The Jeep is able to tow this amount, but the short wheel base raises serious safety issues. A quick stop in a TJ pulling something that heavy is going to push the back end of the jeep around (a jack-knife).
