precision usually refers to the uncertainty in the measurement. like my scale gives my weight as 150 +- 1 lbs (due to the scale). A high degree of precision means that this random error in quite small. However, it might still be inaccurate because there can be systematic error. In this case I forgot that I was wearing clothes (and shoes) which totaled nearly 10 lbs. Thus my weight measurement was relatively precise (though it could have been more precise) but still more inaccurate than the uncertainty implied.
