A piano string sounds a middle A by vibrating primarily at 220Hz
1)Calculate the string's period
2)Calculate the string's angular frequency
3)Calculate the period for a soprano singing an A one octave higher, which is twice the frequency of the piano string
4)Calculate the angular frequency for a soprano singing an A one octave higher, which is twice the frequency of the piano string
Period = 1/frequency = 1/220 = 0.004545...
Angular Frequency = 2 * pi * frequency = 440 * pi = 1382.301 (3dp)
Twice the frequency = 440 Hz
Period of soprano = 1/440 = 0.002272727...
Angular Frequency of Soprano Singer = 2 * pi * 440 = 2764.602 (3dp)
