Fiber Optic Digital Video Transceiver for CCTV Monitoring

This fiber optic digital video transceiver is an all-digital, fiber optic video transceiver module designed to support simultaneous transmission of the one-way video, one-way audio and one-way data over one optical fiber. It requires no electrical or optical adjustments in-field operation and ensures proper system operation in complex electromagnetic environments.

This fiber optic digital video transceiver, model GFS103, uses 10-bit/20MHz sampling technology for video digital encoding, and 24bit/48kHz sampling technology for audio digital encoding. It incorporates an LED indicator for monitoring system operations and provides BNC video connection, ST optical connection and DB9 data connection. The digital video transceiver is completely compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM video formats. Moreover, it is hot-plugging and has a wide dynamic range design that makes it convenient for installation, maintenance and operation.

What is the applications of an optical fiber which has a microsphere at the tip, in the field of engineering?

I've created an optical fiber which has a microsphere at the tip, by using lasers can anyone think of its applications in the field of engineering (polishing, etc...)?

A sphere can be used like a lens and help focus light into the fiber, or to disperse it out of the fiber
