Credit Card Payment Query?
I had a Credit Card of HDFC Bank which was alloted by them to me in the year 2003 with a credit limit of Rs. 12000/- , i have used the whole limit & was paying them regularly by paying them minimum emi of every month & now at the down line i have end up paying them 20000/- to 22000/-. ow i am not in the status in paying them any more so a asked them for a settlement & they are telling me to pay 22000/- for closing my account ? What can i do? If i dont pay what can they do? please so me a way they have even closed my card in the last year then how can they claim money? they are harrising my family members & telling that they would make their people sit at my home till i dont do the payment , help me?
Just because the account is closed does not mean you do not owe the monies. If you are in the USA then they can sue you to collect the debt.
