Electrical wiring question... Guitar electonrics?
In regards to the wiring for the pots in an electric guitar: is there a difference between the left and right lugs? If I connect wire A to the left lug and wire B to right lug will it behave the same as if I connect wire B to the left lug and wire A to the right lug? Thank you!
The behavior will be close, but rotating the pot CW for one connection will behave the same as rotating it CCW for the other connection.
As I said, it's sometimes complicated to figure out which way to wire the pot, so wire it either way, and if it turns out the pot is in the wrong direction just reverse the two end leads.
