I have a problem with the unit overheating. I have 2 zones, and both thermostats work properly. The pressure is around 12-15 pounds when the unit is cold. normal water temp is around 180 F. The water temp gets to over 220F and the pressure relief valve will operate when the pressure is over 30 psi.
This is an initermitent problems. I feel it is the high limit switch not operating properly, I tested the switch and it works, can the thermostat on the switch be bad?
Or should I be looking for another problem?
lower the h. l. s. to 140F & see if that works.
