Give Yourself a Makeover
Take a picture of yourself before you do anything! Half of the fun of a makeover is seeing yourself before and after.
.) Shower- Wash your hair with your favorite shampoo for one minute, rinse out and use your favorite conditioner. Leave in for two minutes, then rinse out. Use a deep conditioner and leave it in for three minutes, then rinse out completely. Use a loofah and some soap or body wash and wash your entire body. Finally, shave your legs and underarms, rinse off once again. Towel dry when you step out.
.) Face- Wash your face with a cleanser and scrub gently. [[Exfoliate, Steam and Use Face Masks|Face masks]] are great to use when giving yourself a makeover. They will cleanse your pores. If you don't have face mask, then use half a mashed up banana and 2 tbsp of honey. Also beware of the cheap face masks if you have sensitive skin--they can burn and itch causing an unattractive red rash. Top it all off with some lightweight facial mosturizer.
.) Hair- After you wash your hair, comb it gently with a wide-toothed comb. If you have time, let your hair air-dry; it's the best method. If you don't have time for it to air-dry, blow-dry it, but be aware that it may leave your hair super frizzy! Style it the way that you like the best. Is your hair usually pin-straight? Curl it! Is your hair usually curly? Straighten it! Or braid it, put it in pigtails, or put it in a ponytail! Try and use a hairstyle that you don't do often. Also, if you really want a huge change, dye your hair! You can go to a salon and get it professionally done.
.) Nails- Clean your fingernails and toenails with a nail scrubber. Then file and clip them. You can also paint your nails if you like or you can go to a nail salon for a full manicure and pedicure.# Teeth! Brush and floss your teeth to get rid of any food that might be stuck in there. Follow up with some mouthwash for fresh breath! If you want, use a teeth whitener to make your pearly whites even whiter!# Facial hair! Wax or pluck your eyebrows. Nothing makes a girl's face look beautiful more than nice eyebrows! If you have over-tweezed your eyebrows, fill them in using an angled brush and a powder that's the same color as your natural hair color (or one shade lighter).#If you have some hair on your upper lip, whatever you do, DON'T SHAVE IT! This will only cause some peach fuzz to grow back thicker, stubblier, and darker than before! Wax or bleach only.
.)Makeup- The more natural-looking, the better. No one likes to see someone whose face is bogged down with what seems like six pounds of makeup. Since this is a makeover, experiment with some makeup that your normally wouldn't use. Ask your friends, family, or even that girl at the makeup counter what makeup they'd recommend for you. What colour of eyeshadow would make your eye colour pop? What lipstick shade would look best on your? Experiment and find one that you like. Use some concealer if needed, but remember, do not cake it on! Use concealer if needed, and chap stick/lip gloss/ lip stick.
.) Lips- To make your lips soft and kissable, use some chapstick if your lips are normally dry. If they aren't, simply use some lip gloss or lipstick.
.) Moisturize! Use a nice smelling [[Make Lotion|body lotion]] to moisturize your skin. Mosturize your hands, legs, feet, and whatever other parts of your body need some lotion.# Put on a nice outfit! You can make a few changes to your wardrobe, but overall, make sure that it still reflects you and your personality. Don't completely transform yourself from one thing to another. If you want to dress it up or dress it down a little bit, that's fine. This is a makeover, after all! Have fun with it.
.) Accessorize! Get some earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and whatever other accessories that you want. If you're a simplistic person, try wearing a simple charm bracelet or a silver necklace. If you're loud and out there, buy some bold, chunky jewelery. Find some jewelery that you like and that reflects who you are.
.) Feel good about yourself! You are unique, so don't compare your looks to anyone else. A makeover is a great time to find ways to make those so-called 'flaws' of yours look great! If If you have big eyes, enhance them! Braces? Express your creativity and have fun colors as the brackets! Glasses? Be proud, get frames you love- Eyes are the window to the soul, so you might as well frame them.
.) Take a picture after you're done! Compare the 'before' and 'after' pictures and see how much different (and hopefully better) you look. Feel good yourself. Be happy with who you are.If you know you are allergic to something, then don't use it.
