Heat Twice The Space With A 220 Volt Electric Fireplace
A built-in, 220 volt fireplace requires a bit of carpentry to install since it's recessed and mount flush to the wall, but the eye catching results are worth the effort. Beyond visual appeal, they offer the opportunity to double the heating capacity of a conventional electric fireplace.

Can I use a 30 amp outlet for a 240 volt plug?
I have an outdoor 30 amp RV hook-up available. I want to plug in a 240 volt cord on a 24" stack washer/dryer but, I only have a 110 volt electrical outlet inside my RV. Can I run the 240 volt washer/dryer cord outside and plug it into the 30 amp RV hook-up outlet?
The 30 Amp hookup is still a single phase 110 volt outlet -- not 240 volt. The 240 volt plug won't even fit in the outside hookup outlet (at least it shouldn't fit -- if it does there is a serious problem with UL standards).
Bottom line answer: no.
