What happened?
My Toyota Corolla 99 was overheating due to worn overhead gasket, and dringks fuel oil of 1 litter per 3,500 kilometers. Had it fixed, relpaced garket and new piston rings and conrad bearings.
The piston is 3 inches in diameter so the mechanic set guage 7 for piston clearance. One after 600 kilometers the engine consulmed 1 litter of oil with air exitting off sthe head cover and oil stick.
After a week a rework was done, replacing piston rings again with same settings. After about 600 kilometers it blows air out of the dip stick and consumes 1 litter of oil.
Pls help.
Can piston rings be wornout easily with proper oil preassure?
this "mechanic" is taking you for a "ride". Find somebody else. He doesn't know what he is doing. He is costing you "more" than if you took it to a rebuild shop the first time.
