"Awesome swimsuit!" 2009-05-01
By Novel Gazer (Miami, Florida)
After having three, ahem, name-brand lycra swimsuits last only a few months each--so frustrating!--I decided to try one of these TYR polyester swimsuits. Fantastic! It feels a bit more firm when you first put it on, but it's easy to get used to, and it just lasts and lasts and lasts without stretching out, losing its shape, and getting that weird thinned-out fabric damage from the chlorine. I swim a few times a week and have had mine a year now. I rinse it out, gently squeeze it, and let it air dry; that's it. Because it lasts so long, you will need to buy a swimsuit much less often. The company deserves a plug for a great product...since they will sell fewer of them to each person, because they last so long (no planned obsolescence here!), I'm hopeful this review will help them sell more of them. That way, they'll continue (I hope!) to make this excellent line of swimsuits.

Can you use a knit poly lining for sewing clothes?

I accident bought a knit polyester lining fabric but was supposed to but a knit two way stretch. can i still use the lining too make my top? can i use it for something else?

If you bought a stable knit, you can't use it in place of a stretch knit. You need a lining that matches the outer fabric in terms of stretch, and it should match the stretch specified in the pattern.

But you can use it for another project.
